CSO Drug Discovery. Gerard obtained his PhD degree in 1996 at the Free University of Amsterdam where he pursued his research interests in the fields of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology by studying molecular mechanisms involved in controlling gene transcription.
He subsequently held research positions at the University of Vienna (Austria) and the University of Leuven (Belgium).
